de La Salle Lecture

Vision for Catholic Education

Each year the Catholic Teachers Guild of Ottawa sponsors the de La Salle Lecture.  These lectures feature accomplished educators, professors and Catholic leaders who articulate present day issues in a way that brings to life a Catholic vision for educating our students.

de La Salle Lecture 2014

This year's de La Salle Lecture features Paul Donovan, Principal of Loyola High School in Montreal.  As secularism advances with increasing confidence throughout Quebec and expressions of faith in the public forum other than those that are in keeping with a secularist faith are being undermined by the prevailing political climate, Mr. Donovan discusses how he has fought right up to the Supreme Court of Canada for a truly Catholic education.
